Friday's To-Do List & Carpal Tunnel?

For a while my left elbow was hurting.  Holding it a certain way would create shooting pains up and down my arm.  Not sure what that was from, but now it seems to be gone.  BUT....

But now my right hand and arm are bothering me. Holding my hand a certain way causes my hand and arm to get all tingly. It doesn't hurt, just feels like it fell asleep and is waking up.  It's weird.

Now I know carpal tunnel affects your hand, but does it also cause numbness and tingliness in your arm? My whole arm will feel weird....maybe it is a pinched nerve? Any ideas? Makes it hard to use a mouse and hold a paintbrush.....

And let's not forget the ginormous floater in my right eye that makes everything blurry.  That is still there and doesn't seemed to have changed.  *sigh*  I hate this getting older crap....
  1. pour piggy bank molds
  2. personalize piggy banks for shipping tomorrow
  3. paint piggy banks
  4. fire piggy banks
  5. get some greenware piggy banks ready to fire
  6. fire those
  7. vacuum Eowyn's room
Last night I did paperwork until 11pm, so at least I don't have to put that on the list....Eowyn is coming home today for a few days.  With Faramir.  And then they are heading to Faramir's house, I think.  I hope they aren't expecting any home cooked meals here.....I don't like to cook as it is, but this time of year I paint right through dinnertime.  Except on Thanksgiving, when I  actually do cook.  But we'll get into that later.  Maybe.  And I better get moving now and get to work.

Carpal tunnel will do that. Get thee to mine chiropractor.

I used to work for a neurosurgeon who treated cts. It could be that but could be other things too like a pinched nerve in your neck can affect your arm/hand. Sounds like you should get checked out. Bad enough that you're working like a dog and then you feel like crap too. That's just not right!

Hate to ad to the bad news here my friend, but it absolutely sounds like CTS! I did nails for 18 years and suffered from it in both hands, my right being the worse of the 2. Being what you do, and holding your hand in a certain position for long periods of time is what causes it. I opted to NOT have the surgery and turned to some alternative choices and made out fine. Years later, I'm all better......

Hope you get some relief soon.

I hope it's nothing too serious and it gets cleared up soon.

I ought to start making my own to do lists, but I'm afraid it'll look like I didn't accomplish anything. Then again, I may be surprised. :P

My arm has done that a lot over the years from doing all the tedious work. My chiropractor told me never let a doctor get a hold of me for CTS treatment. That if I kept my elbow adjusted it would go away. It has always worked, so my advice is get to a chiropractor right away. and get your elbow, neck and shoulder adjusted!!!!

Yep, carpral tunnel does effece your arm and shoulder. I agree with the Chiropractor advice. Good luck on that!

Sounds like my sister. She has tennis elbow in both arms. (no, she doesn't play tennis) She wears a little brace and it makes it a little better. But she is swearing by cortisone shots.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
I concur with the getting the whole old.

I had elbow issues that got better with massage therapy. (It helped with the old stress level, too)

Good luck with the piggy banks.

Boy are you gatting a flurry of suggestions. I've got another one for you. At the same time I started having cts problems I was also going crazy with menopause sweats. I saw a neuro Dr who told me I needed surgery in both hands. I began using progesterone cream (bioidentical hormone therapy) for the sweats and the cts stopped.

i used the cream once a day and when I would forget it the symptoms - both sweats and cts would resume.

I searched the Mayo Clinic web site (my fav for medical info) and low and behold......cts IS ASSOCIATED WITH MENOPAUSE!

Every Dr. I have told this to, since then, looks at me like I am nuts.

The important thing to get from all this is NO Surgery! I know 3 people who had surgery and one got worse and two only had 50% relief of symptoms
